Senior Legal adviser, Corporate Business Legal Support Division Legal Department

Job Responsibilities:

Analyzing the clients’ documents submitted to the bank while providing the clients with banking services (granting loans, accounts opening, etc.) in order to verify if those documents are in line with effective legislation of Ukraine, with the provisions of normative acts of the National Bank of Ukraine and with the requirements of the bank.
Advising on loan, currency control, compliance, trade finance (collection, factoring, promissory note, guarantee / standby letter of credit, letters of credit) and other issues.
Legal support of leasing operations of the bank.
Providing legal expertise of the bank’s documents in order to verify if those documents are in line with effective legislation of Ukraine and with other internal documents of the bank.
Drafting of standard / atypical agreements, approval of products, standards, procedures and other internal documents of the bank.
Negotiating agreements with clients (if needed).
Research of law practice and monitoring of changes in the effective legislation of Ukraine, drafting memos and legal opinions.
Performing other tasks as requested

Key Requirements:

Higher legal education.
English (Pre intermediate/Intermediate).
At least 5 years of legal practice (preferable in the banking sphere).
Experience in legal support of leasing operations.
Strong knowledge of civil law, banking law, commercial law, currency supervision legislation, financial monitoring (compliance) legislation.
Experience of legal support transactions with securities and documentary business transactions, knowledge of international rules - URDG,UCP 600, ISP 98.
Experience with foreign law documents (corporate guarantees, letters of comfort), review of legal opinions, provided by external legal advisers.
Analytical mind, accurate, eager to study and develop.
Ability to work under pressure.
Ability to explain difficult things in easy way.
